Optician Awards to highlight outstanding achievement

This year’s Optician Awards will include a special presentation of a trophy to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to UK optics.

The Outstanding Achievement Award sponsored by Topcon will be made for the first time at the awards presentation in London on November 22 in the Grosvenor House Hotel.

The recipient will be selected by a panel of experts drawn together by Optician’s editor in chief, Chris Bennett, and Optician will not be seeking traditional-style entries.

The panel will draw up a shortlist of names to consider over the summer before meeting to select the winner. The shortlist will not be revealed in the usual manner; just the winner, whose name will be revealed at the Optician Awards presentation in November.
