Laser eye surgery specialist Optimax has introduced a new service at its clinics that allows patients to know their likely result in advance of surgery.
The EyePredict Patient Results Forecast uses live patient data and processes results from previous patients of the same age and prescription to forecast a visual outcome.
The new report is presented to patients at their in-consultation, and includes contact details for previous patients of similar age and eye profile before treatment.
Medical director Amir Hamid said: ‘At Optimax, we have data accumulated from more than 380,000 treatments that allows us to offer this unique report to patients.
‘Accurately predicting a patient’s result allows them to make an informed decision regarding treatment and means that we can ensure high levels of satisfaction.’
