Optometrist Nisha Chotai was given a camera after reaching a five-year service milestone at Specsavers Reigate.
Practice directors Prash and Karen Patel surprised Chotai with the Nikon SLR digital camera and urged her to stay another five years.
She said: ‘I honestly can’t believe where the time has gone. I can remember my first day here like it was yesterday. I’m on first name terms with lots of our customers and it’s lovely to see them return. The camera was a huge and very lovely surprise.’
The Surrey practice now has more than 100 years’ of collective staff service, a statement added.
