Optometrist’s ball fundraises for school’s sensory garden

A charity ball raises much needed funds for a local special needs school

A Reading optometrist recently hosted a charity ball to raise much needed funds for a local special needs school.

Suky Sehgal, from Boots Opticians, hosted the event on June 29 at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Winnersh. This was to help raise funds for a sensory garden at the Addington School in Reading to allow children who aren’t as mobile to access outdoor spaces.

For raffle prizes, optometrist Shuabe Khan of Specsavers in Tooting donated several pairs of designer sunglasses and locum optometrist Joey Khan donated a flat screen TV, various Bluetooth devices including headphones, sound bars and vouchers. A total off £2357.80 was raised on the night.
