Tony Round, non-playing captain of the optometrists' team, holds aloft the Optician Shield after beating off competition from the dispensers and manufacturers in the annual Optician Triangular Match.
The Shield is awarded each year for the best team gross score calculated from eight of each team 's 10 members. The optometrists also won the John Davis Salver for best team net score.
The trophy was presented by Steve Beard, head of sales for Optician (centre), as team members look on. The competition was held at Fulford Heath Golf Club, Birmingham on April 26.
