Visually impaired skier Mark Colman completed a winter trip to La Plagne in France last month.
He booked the trip with Traveleyes, which was set up ten years ago to provide visually impaired travellers with the assistance of sighted guides, who themselves enjoy discounted travel.
He is pictured with optometrist April Elliott, who said: ‘This was my first experience of assisting visually impaired skiers and it proved to be a great fun and a wonderful opportunity to try to understand better the challenges involved in having poor sight. We had some ups and downs, if you'll excuse the pun, but fantastic camaraderie and fun times.’
