Optometry Giving Sight regional manager Donna Power (pictured) has visited one of the charity’s child screening projects in Tanzania’s Bagamoyo and Kihaba districts.
The charity said its goal was to help screen 100,000 patients in the districts through donations from the sales of Biofinity contact lenses from CooperVision.
Power was joined on the trip by the manufacturer’s European marketing manager Heath Clash (also pictured).
‘As I left Bagamoyo, I thought about how this programme has brought real hope for a better future to so many children. It has brought eye care to the forefront of health and education, benefiting not only the children but their entire communities,’ said Power.
