​Optometry Scotland appoints new chair and vice chair

Optometry Scotland has appointed a new chair and vice chair.

Optometrist David Quigley, a partner in Specsavers optical, audiology and Heathcall businesses in Glasgow and Aberdeen, will be replacing Samantha Watson as chair.

Julie Mosgrave, an optometrist and professional services manager for Duncan and Todd Opticians & Hearing Care, will be the new vice-chair.

Mosgrove said: ‘I look forward to working with David and everyone at Optometry Scotland to help deliver our strategic plan, while ensuring strong communication with our growing membership.’

Quigley added: ‘Being named chair is a real honour and privilege. I believe that optometry in Scotland is making significant progress and our efforts are being recognised globally.’
