Optometry Wellness Day teaches ECPs positive mental health

Everyone celebrating at the Bollywood-themed ‘Eye ball’

More than 100 delegates attended the second Optometry Wellbeing Day on May 11 at Kettering Park Hotel, organised by optometrists Sheena Tanna-Shah and Piyus Tanna.

Following a yoga and gratitude workshop, guests took part in a CPD-accredited ‘Optometry burnout’ session and a range of activities throughout the day, including axe throwing, glass walking and ice baths.

During a Bollywood-themed ‘Eye ball’, specialist optometrist Ankur Trivedi collected an ‘Optometry hero’ award, while the duo also launched a new wellbeing app called Evya, designed for eye care professionals.

The event was supported by Good Karma Eyewear, Scope Eyecare and Healthcare, Chec and Mainline Instruments.
