Optrafair bookings gathers pace

Some of Europe's trendsetting frame suppliers will be exhibiting at next year's Optrafair within the stylish Fashion Quarter where visitors can seek out brands which are creating the biggest buzz in the optical sector.

Show organiser the FMO said the latest frame suppliers to book exhibition space at next April's show in Birmingham include Face à Face, Ebony Eyewear, Orange Eyewear, Caseco, Andrew Actman, White Vision, William Morris (London) and UK Eyeworks.

Commenting on Face à Face's presence at the show, the company's communications manager, Michaela Rene, said: 'MIDO (2009), being earlier, means that some of our new designs will not be ready for this show, so we will preview new shapes and concepts at Optrafair - always an important show for us.'

Orange Eyewear will launch a new collection at Optrafair and the company has said that it specifically picked the Fashion Quarter to showcase its niche designer brands.

Meanwhile, White Vision will be displaying 'funky frames with a wearable twist,' according to sales manager, Joy Clift. 'We'll be launching new spring collections for our Vanni and Derapage ranges,' she added.
