Optical businesses grasped the opportunity to make the first ever Optrafair London an unrivalled success

A range of optical businesses grasped the opportunity to make the first ever Optrafair London an unrivalled success last weekend.

The show attracted over 4,600 attendees including a range of exhibitors from professional, product and retail sectors. Multiple Vision Express had more than 20 senior staff on hand during the exhibition at Olympia National, where it promoted a new ‘Vision. Taken Seriously’ slogan.

‘It’s great for us to be here and raise our prominence again,’ Vision Express CEO Jonathan Lawson told Optician.

Sir Tony Garrett, general secretary of ABDO, said Optrafair London had already found its niche on a ‘different scale’ to Optrafair at the NEC Birmingham, which he thought would ‘remain the big event’. He said: ‘Our CET lectures yesterday were full and there has been a lot of interest on the ABDO College stand, so from an ABDO meeting point of view it has been successful.’
