Portsmouth-based practice owner and dispensing optician Anne Gill was this month selected as the winner of an all-expenses paid trip for two to the International Spectralis Symposium (ISS) in Vienna this November.

Entrants to the competition, run by Heidelberg Engineering at Optrafair, submitted the reason they deserved to own a Spectralis imaging platform in their practice.

Optician clinical editor Bill Harvey selected the owner of Anne Gill Eyecare as the best answer given on the day.

Harvey said: ‘The repeatability of the results and the superb service offered by the sales team and support staff made Gill’s entry a winner.’

The event will be held at the Gartenpalais Liechtenstein building where international clinicians will be encouraged to contribute to the lecture program by sharing study reports and case presentations collected in practice.

Gill said: ‘I’m so excited to be joining leading retina and glaucoma experts at the ISS and looking to taking home new concepts for clinical practice.'
