
An artificial intelligence (AI) assistant has been developed by OrCam Technologies that supplements the company’s OrCam Read 3 device. The interactive technology is said to provide a tailored reading experience to support people living with vision loss.
A ‘Just ask’ feature allows users to ask follow-up questions related to the text and it imitates the natural way people interact with text when summarising it.
Professor Amnon Shashua, OrCam co-founder, said: ‘With the right application, AI can extend human capabilities, open new prospects for innovation and create a landscape where technology and humanity progress in harmony.’
