Organiser heads to Thailand for Silmo Bangkok

Silmo Bangkok sees record number of 3,750 trade visitors

A first-ever Silmo Bangkok saw a record number of 3,750 trade visitors from 42 different countries at the event between June 20-22.

The latest trends and eyewear collections from over 250 brands were on show, including Alexander McQueen, ic! berlin, Christopher Kane and Stella McCartney.

Topcon Instruments also showcased its instruments for examination, diagnosis and treatment, and Hoya, Thai Optical Group, Tokai and Zeiss presented their knowledge of lens manufacturing with new technologies.

Loy Joon How, general manager of Impact Exhibition Management, said: ‘Silmo Bangkok aims to bridge the gap between suppliers and manufacturers of eyewear; lenses; optometric instruments, equipment and machinery; and business services by facilitating business and providing learning opportunities.

We look forward to a more vibrant and comprehensive edition next year and we are very excited to be a facilitator in these companies’ journeys in establishing and expanding their presence in ASEAN’s optical industry.’

The two-day event will be held again next year, between June 19-21.
