A green charter for the optical industry has been made available for businesses to implement, delegates were told at the Optical Supplier Association’s (OSA) summer meeting and golf competition at the Belfry on June 10-11.

Available to OSA members and non-members, the charter would address all operational aspects from greener premises, reducing transportation carbon footprint and eliminating paper use to promoting energy savings in production.

‘This is a significant step in ensuring a greener, more sustainable, future for the entire optical supply chain. The aim is to ensure that as many people as possible are engaged in this journey,’ said OSA director, Jayne Abel.
