Panoramic light management

Silhouette’s Vision Sensation (SVS) programme has been broadened with the introduction of Silhouette Light Management to produce prescription sunglasses. The company said the new initiative would provide benefits including blue light protection.

The eyewear producer says its light management technology offers ‘sophisticated blue light protection up to 500nm’, which strikes an ‘optimum’ balance of blue light exposure. It says this will also ‘help maintain your sleep cycle by enhancing contrasts without any negative impact on the eyes’.

In addition, Silhouette has heavily invested in IQ-POL technology that provides ‘glare-free, 100% UV and polarised protection from reflective beams and dazzling sunlight’. All of this has been done on the basis of reducing the strain on wearer’s eyes and ‘providing the best possible visual protection’.
