Patient support services highlighted during World Glaucoma Week

A charity is raising awareness of support available to patients

Glaucoma UK has launched a booklet that highlighted its services for people living with the eye condition and eye care professionals.

It formed part of the charity’s activity during World Glaucoma Week (March 7-13) and its Anytime, anywhere campaign to raise awareness of support available.

Karen Osborn, chief executive of Glaucoma UK, said: ‘In these difficult times, we want every person in the UK affected by glaucoma, including those caring for people with the disease, to know that we are here for them. We can provide information, support, and advice, either on the phone or online. Anytime, anywhere.’

Glaucoma UK also launched a podcast and hosted digital support groups on topics that have been chosen by people who living with glaucoma.
