Croydon Local Optical Committee has positive feedback from NHS survey

Croydon Local Optical Committee has welcomed positive feedback from an NHS survey into the eye care provided by optometrists under the Croydon Community Ophthalmology Service (COS).

Croydon LOC formed a non-profit company called Complete Ophthalmic Services CIC to run COS. The service is provided by specialist accredited Croydon optometrists, with the accreditation ongoing. The initiative is designed to provide patients with recently occurring eye conditions treatment closer to home.

In an online survey of 126 COS patients last month over 89% rated the overall quality of care provided to them as ‘excellent’. The thoroughness of the COS eye examination was rated by over 92% of patients as ‘excellent.’
