Peer review paper validates MiSight contact lenses

A peer-reviewed paper validated the six year study findings for the efficacy of Coopervision’s myopia control MiSight one day contact lenses.

The paper, published in Ophthalmic and Physiological Optics, highlighted that MiSight one day was found to slow eye growth to less than half that observed in untreated children.

In children starting treatment between the ages of 8-12 years, the probability of > 0.3mm eye growth within one to three years also decreased by 95%.

‘The rigorous, multi-center study design, unequaled investigation timeframe, and clear outcomes have strengthened prescribing confidence for this unique, effective optical intervention to slow the progression of myopia,’ said senior director of research programs, Paul Chamberlain.

Chamberlain and co author, research fellow Arthur Bradley, were featured in a companion video interview, hosted by Myopia Profile’s Kate Gifford, describing the study methodologies, outcomes and clinical applications.
