Look out for a new single-vision atoric lens, with patents pending, custom-made in 1.67 index. Also new is the CT28 1.60 UV AR, a high index bifocal with a curved top segment for improved cosmetic appearance. It offers full UV protection and has a water white material finish.
The Mini 1.60 UV AR short corridor progressive, already available in 1.50 and 1.67 indices will now be made available in all the mainstream indices.
For followers of frame fashion, Pentax announces a new material Ð ÔGum metalÕ, described as having the flexibility of rubber, with greater strength than beta-titanium. It can be adjusted as a conventional alloy and Pentax has applied for a patent in Japan and other countries. The company describes this as an innovative material and a major development towards the next generation of spectacle frames.
There are new colours of blues and pastels in the Casual Titan line, while Klik-Clip is a new collection of fashionable magnetic eyewear. The clip is made from aluminium, for reduced weight, and comes with polarised lenses.
Also on offer are new titanium models in the ÔTwin ComeÕ collection, with what the company describes as a more technical dimension to the growing concept of magnetic eyewear.
