The artistic talent of people affected by central sight loss has been celebrated at an exhibition hosted by the Macular Disease Society.

Peripheral Visions at the Menier Gallery in London played host to over 50 pieces of artwork, textile and sculpture, which were submitted by individuals affected by macular disease or who aim to further understanding of the condition.

The exhibition featured a live demonstration by professional artist Yvonne Dolloway (pictured), who has Doyne's juvenile macular dystrophy. Dolloway showed how she uses magnifying aids in her work and even encouraged the crowd to try painting with aids themselves. Pictures from the event can be viewed online until the end of September.
