Vision Express has reopened a number of its stores across the UK, bringing the number of operational sites to 172.
The stores have reopened with amended services, adding the ability to book essential and urgent eye care appointments and buy contact lenses and sunglasses online, an urgent glasses replacement service and free home delivery for all existing orders.
Vision Express explained that this should help to reduce pressure on GPs, A&E and hospitals.
