The Mayor and Mayoress of Dorset seaside town Bournemouth, Councillor and Mrs Keith Rawlings, were on hand recently to officially open the newly re-engineered prescription laboratory of the Melson Wingate group and to present a 25-year service award to the group's quality control manager, David Pine.
Chairman Nigel Wingate commended Mr Pine as an 'excellent example of someone who had studied the intricacies of spectacle making and continued to maintain his knowledge and skills to the high level needed to supervise the quality of the laboratory's output.' Mr Pine was presented with a silver salver by Cllr Rawlings, who also received a donation from Melson Wingate for his charity fund in aid of Bournemouth Samaritans and Michael's Night Shelter.
