PM visits Norville

Optical manufacturing was showcased to Prime Minister David Cameron when he visited the Norville Group this week.

The Prime Minister, together with other politicians and local councillors, was greeted by company chairman Frank Norville (second from left).

The manufacturer's investment in Ultor freeform lens manufacturing and expansion of facilities and staffing was discussed, while Cameron also assisted with Norville's 25-year service awards. It was announced that 53 current Norville staff have reached or exceeded this level.

The meeting took place at the company's prescription manufacturing division in Gloucester on April 23.
