Binocular stereovision test producer Frisby Stereotest has launched a new pocket-sized stereopsis screener test.
The producer said the new test had been developed in response to the need for a simple, speedy assessment of stereopsis as part of a holistic vision screening examination, and was being used by optometrists, school and occupational screening programmes.
Using the same real objects design as the established Frisby Stereotests, the new test features a smaller plate with two quadrants, and is stored in a pocket-size wallet that also doubles as the testing background. As Frisby tests do not use stereograms, there is no need for special glasses, making it a quick, hygienic and simple test where time constraints may be a factor.
