Porsche going for gold

Available through its manufacturing and distribution partner Rodenstock, Porsche Design has added two new gold sunglass styles to its collection, which are produced in close cooperation between Rodenstock and the Studio F A Porsche.

The design of the pilot-styled P’8478 has remained unchanged for almost 40 years, said the company: ‘Fashionistas and Hollywood stars love the unmistakeable style of the spectacles and more than nine million pairs sold prove their wearability.’

A special mechanism allows the patient to change the lenses, that include Flash Gold and a copper-coloured metallic hue.

P’8631 is a reinterpretation of the Wayfarer shape. The flowing outline features areas of negative space around the internal lens form.
