Frost Borneo Opticians, based in Henley-on-Thames, has announced a new partnership with Leander Rowing Club wherein its athletes and coaches will be supplied and fitted with designer Maui Jim sunglasses.
The club’s general manager, Paul Budd, went for a regular eye test at the Frost Borneo practice and spoke to its staff about getting them involved in a community art project to celebrate the club’s bicentenary year. Conversations continued to between the club and the practice, and eventually owners Neil Frost and Catalina Borneo agreed to support the rowing teams by supplying and fitting all of the club’s athletes and coaches with Maui Jim sunglasses.
Mark Banks, Leander Club’s director of rowing and chief coach said: ‘Having this local partnership with Frost Borneo, who will be providing high performance sunglasses, is the perfect match. The speciality and quality of the Maui Jim sunglasses are so good that when the athletes are on the water they get rid of all the glare.’
