Optics celebrated the arrival of the Tour de France on British soil this week with marketing campaigns and fundraising activity.

Specsavers Harrogate marked the occasion by attaching a cut-off bike to its store front (pictured), while two Specsavers practices in Cambridge held a week-long cycling competition to finish the 546km distance of the English leg of the tour in first place.

The fundraising, which started last month, saw exercise bikes placed outside both stores and all donations pledged to local charity East Anglia’s Children’s Hospice – with the aim of reaching a target of £546.
