Two practitioners have won a legal battle over NHS England attempts to recover GOS claims stretching back two years.

Legal representatives the AOP said NHS England had adopted an aggressive approach to auditing claims by 2014, when it pursued the two performers, who remained anonymous.

AOP legal and regulatory services director Gerda Goldinger said: ‘The company brought in by NHS England started to work with a firm of solicitors to threaten members. And not just with the recovery of sums that they considered to be due, but with taking away their livelihoods and their homes if they did not respond urgently and positively to the claim letters.’
