Beaumont boost

The Julien Beaumont range of eyewear by Dunelm Optical has four new additions for women.

The 514 has 'distinctive' fretwork sides and comes in gold, brown and blue, while the lightweight 515 has 'clean simple lines' and comes in gold, silver and gunmetal. The 516 is described by Dunelm as a feminine design with distinctive arms and is available in gold, pink and lilac.

The fourth model, 517, with decorated fronts and straight sides comes in gold, pink and grey. All frames are designed for a 52 eye.

Get hooked with Minima Zero

The Minima Zero weighs only four grams, is available in 11 colours and 11 eye shapes and comes complete with a tin case and microfibre cleaning mitt.

Using conical plastic sleeves inserted into a 1.7mm hole, the titanium side and bridge parts of the frame are inserted and pushed into position.

This 'hook' method of lens attachment is said by the company to be the fastest on the market and bypasses the need for hinges, screws, nuts, bolts, washers or nose pads.

'Zero fits almost everybody with the minimum of adjustment,' said the company, 'and like all the Minima Collections, it is covered by a 10-year warranty against breakage.'
