Thieves struck for a second time in a week at a Dollond & Aitchison practice in Norwich, stealing over 80 pairs of designer sunglasses and a small bag of change.
Last week Optician reported that 150 frames were taken from the same practice on Castle Street between closure at 5.30pm on June 12 and when it reopened on June 14.
The thieves broke in again between 5.30pm on Friday June 18 and 8am on June 19 but this time the stolen sunglasses were fitted with dummy lenses without UV protection.
A spokesperson for Boots Opticians said: 'We can confirm an incident occurred in a Dollond & Aitchison opticians store in Norwich. We are currently assisting the police with their enquiries.' Police are appealing for witnesses to contact PC Camilla Burwood on 0845 456 4567.
