Sleek steel contrasts strikingly with the matt untreated surface and bevelled edges of Mykita’s Raw collection.

Bold shapes, cropped edges and contrasting fronts and temples characterise this exciting collection. MMRAW010 plays on a butterfly shape front but with thick, dark mottled rims that widen at the lug. Steel temples are attached to the frame via a bevelled click-in connection that gives off an urban industrial look. The thin temples then transform into acetate tips that start with hard angles before flowing down to the tips. It comes in three different colourways.

The MMRAW016, however, is slightly more bright and playful. A keyhole bridge and curving top bar wrap up round, aviator lenses. The temples are again joined at the lug via clever hinge work and maintain the same temple and tip design, which looks as if part of the temple’s acetate sheath has been removed. It too comes in multiple colours.
