Raylite flexible magnifier offers better definition

CTP Coil has developed a 2.8X illuminated magnifying glass following research which showed that 70 per cent of low-vision patients could benefit from increased contrast levels.
The magnification range of the Rectangular Raylite Series 2 is from 2.8X to 14.7X. It comes with nine interchangeable heads which are each illuminated by either a tungsten or a xenon bulb, giving better definition.
There are three interchangeable power handles that house a two- or three-battery power pack or a mains connection unit. The battery power pack handles are supplied with a twist-on end cap, so changing the batteries is an easy task.
The housing and handle are made from tough but light ABS, while the acrylic lens is moulded to a single-sided aspheric design for significant distortion-free viewing.
CTP Coil business manager John Newth said another key feature was a hinge which allowed the lens to tilt 8¡ off horizontal each way so both right- and left-handed users could get the best results from the magnifier while remaining in a comfortable position.
