Two of the biggest names in optometric education have joined forces to bring the profession a series of four clinical conferences during the autumn.
The Replay Learning Optician Clinical Conferences have been made possible through the collaboration of Optician and Replay to endorse the importance of education within the profession.
Four one-day conferences will be held around the country offering a range of clinical topics, workshops and debates.
Peter Charlesworth, director of Replay Learning Lectures, said by combining with Optician, Replay had been able to improve upon its popular clinical conferences format. Included within the conference presenters are a number of Optician Awards winners and runners up and Optician clinical editor Bill Harvey.
The four conferences will deliver over 70 lectures in a format that allows delegates to choose topics to suit their own needs.
The four venues are Bradford, West Yorkshire, Egham, Surrey, Birmingham and central London on the Sundays of September 23, October 7 and 21 and November 4.
The sponsoring companies for the series are Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Optos, Essilor, Grafton Optical and Bausch & Lomb.
These firms plus Optimed, Visioncall, Continental Eyewear, Zeiss, Orange Eyewear and Optometry Giving Sight will form an exhibition alongside the conferences. The support of the sponsors has brought the price of attendance, if booked before the end of July, down to £79 from an otherwise £165.
