Rimless lab launch

The independent prescription house Harrow Optical Services has set up a new laboratory dedicated to rimless glazing Ð The Rimless Glazing Company.
Directors Adam Sear and Tim Sibley have over 40 years' experience in the optical trade and the new laboratory, with three additional staff, is an authorised Lindberg Lab as well as being recommended glazers for Silhouette, Minima and Marchon.
Sear explained that they were inspired to set up the new venture because they felt that rimless eyewear was here to stay. 'Because there used to be bad press over the years about rimless eyewear, opticians were hesitant about getting involved in a major way. While once you would only find half a dozen rimless models hidden away in a drawer, now things couldn't be more different,' he said.
'We felt that there was a definite gap in the market for a lab specialising in rimless that was offering a friendly, fast and most importantly, efficient service.'
