Peter Sutcliffe beats waiting lists of up to 15 months for cataract operation
Peter Sutcliffe, dubbed the Yorkshire Ripper, has beaten NHS waiting lists of up to 15 months for a cataract operation.
According to a report in the Daily Mail, Sutcliffe, who is currently serving 20 life sentences for murder at HMP Frankland, had the procedure at Sunderland Eye Infirmary in late January.
The article stated Sutcliffe’s vision had improved and that he was pleased to be able to read and watch TV.
Conservative MP Alec Shelbrooke for Elmet and Rothwell told the paper: 'Law-abiding citizens should get priority over those who are a stain on society.'
