A garden designed for the RNIB won three awards at last week’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
The Mind’s Eye Garden won the BBC/RHS People’s Choice Award and took top honours in the Best Fresh Garden category. It was also awarded a Gold Medal.
The concept behind the garden was devised by designer Tom Prince, who worked in conjunction with landscape architect Alex Frazier.
The garden reflected the experiences of sight loss through the use of textures, sounds, smells and even tastes to stimulate the senses. It included a glass cube water feature, a raised walkway and a vertical planting with an edible wall.
