Rochester Optical offers safety solution for Google Glass

Smart eyewear lens specialist Rochester Optical has become the first company to offer a safety solution for Google Glass.

The company, which works with a variety of smart eyewear manufacturers, said the Smart Safety Shield lens passed ANSI/ISEA Z87.1-2010 standards for eye and face protection with ‘flying colours’ to meet the rating of Z87+. It added that a number of companies had shown interest in the protective shields.
