Rodenstock UK has launched the Progressiv Life XS a new short-corridor varifocal lens.
The company describes it as a genuine short-corridor progressive that offers good wide field of vision for distance, intermediate and near, even with a fitting height of only 16mm from the fitting cross to the bottom of the frame eye shape.
The lens is described is suited to fashion frames with small, shallow eyeshapes, down to a minimum depth of only 24mm.
Michael Potter, spectacle products manager, said that the lens would also prove useful for larger eye-size frames where the frame fit dictated a lower fitting position when normal varifocals would be unsuitable.
The company has produced a brochure to provide practitioners with technical information, prices and availability.
The official UK launch is being supported with a 20-4-20 promotion, where, for every 20 Progressiv XS lenses purchased, practices registered for the promotion will receive Whitbread Leisure vouchers to the value of £20.
The promotion is available to customers who complete and return a pre-registration form. The promotion runs until December 31.
