Rodenstock presents prizes with promises

German lens manufacturer Rodenstock has hosted an annual awards ceremony for UK practitioners and presented its latest dispensing device.

At an event at the Savoy, London, the company gave a business update and asked Tennis Grand Slam champion Boris Becker to hand out an award.

Rodenstock managing director Dietmar Rathbauer said in a presentation that the company had overcome initial difficulties with its software system migration early last year.

'It is very critical for us to be connected with our customers,' he said. 'Our main focus in 2012 is to work with you to dispense better products.'

He also presented Rodenstock's video centring system ImpressionIST3. The dispensing device took three years to develop and includes floor, table and wall versions. Rathbauer said: 'This is a tool which will help you improve your dispensing.'
