Runners get specific lens from Shamir

Shamir has released a new lens designed to meet the visual needs of runners. The Shamir Run joins the Shamir Ski and Shamir Golf in the manufacturer's range of specialist lenses.

'After studying the needs of the runner, Shamir Optical's R&D team developed a lens that offers just the right balance for sharp vision wherever required. Runners need clear distance vision to prepare themselves for the slopes, bends or irregularities in the road ahead. Just as important, they need to have sharp vision within their safety zone, including undistorted peripheral vision, to see the position of those around them, or an immediately approaching obstacle. In addition, many runners want to glance at their pedometer, watch, or any other device on their person for a quick and clear reading,' said a manufacturer statement.
