Rye & Lye may be an unfamiliar name to many UK opticians, but the brand, which is part of the Italian manufacturer Immagine98, looks set to grow in 2016 thanks to its bold choice of materials (think wood and Murano glass), silhouettes and colours.

‘Each creation is a tiny masterpiece of manufacturing, a design object that encapsulates an expertise, an art and a craft which transcend fashion fads and trends; meaningful eyewear models destined to be timeless,’ said a company spokesperson. The latest models in the collection have been constructed from stainless steel wrapped in a thin layer of stone, which is available in three colours – including black and sand grey.
