Salt Optics presents limited edition capsule collection

Luxury eyewear brand Salt Optics has produced a limited-edition sunglass capsule collection in collaboration with British sportscar manufacturer Radford Automobiles, co-founded by former F1 driver Jenson Button and motoring TV presenter Ant Anstead. 

Inspired by iconic eyewear and motoring crossovers of popular culture, including Paul Newman’s aviators in Le Mans and Steve McQueen’s customised Persol 714s, the company said it had also studied vintage Italian motoring eyewear for technical inspiration that could be reinterpreted with modern eyewear materials and manufacturing. 

Two styles are available, the navigator-inspired RS-500 and the aviator-shaped RS-600. Both styles are constructed from Japanese titanium and beta titanium, and sport CR-39 polarised lenses with AR, hydrophobic and oleophobic coatings.
