Optician would like to point out that the Profile Additions lens from David Thomas (page 22, 03.02.12) does not use the patented SAM technology owned by UltraVision CLPL but this referred to spherical aberration management incorporated within the design of the No7 Profile Additions lens.
SAM is a registered trademark (No 2190947) owned by UltraVision CLPL and refers specifically to patented technology owned by UltraVision CLPL.
SAM is available in multifocal contact lens designs from UltraVision CLPL including HydroWave (SiH), DuraWave (soft lens) and SAM MF (RGP).
