Sama teams up with Arnie for Terminator 3 film

Having custom-designed the model specifically for the star Arnold Schwarzenegger, using what Sama describes as 'cutting edge technology and manufacturing techniques' the company was selected by the filmakers and Arnie himself to create the signature T3 model.
'After seeing hundreds of frames without finding anything that spoke to us, we were thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Sheila Vance, designer of Sama Eyewear to customise the frame specifically for Arnold. They worked perfectly and truly capture the essence of the Terminator,' said April Ferry, Terminator 3 costume designer.
Manufactured in Japan, the T3 frame uses heat-moulded acetate materials, custom laminated coloured zyl with tumble-matt finishes in four custom colours.
Sama states that the design uses a beta-titanium core, so that the model is lightweight and durable, with 'Rubberon' components for grip.
The lenses use Prolite in 8-base curves with gradient tints, which the company claims heighten visual acuity and eliminate distortion.
Sama adds that the T3 caters for a wide variety of wearers, having been produced in a number of sizes and colours for both men and women, and is particularly suited for the extreme athlete.
