Sample frames stolen from car

Thieves have stolen £9,000 worth of sample frames and sunglasses from a West Midland Optical sales representative in a Lancashire car park.

Alvin Verber has appealed to optician readers to help trace the haul which consisted of samples of West Midland and Profile frames, Baseline and I-Deal frames, and Reflex Memory metal frames. Sunglasses stolen were from the Signature, Reflections, Boutique, I-Deal ranges.
Verber believes the crime was well planned and the perpetrators were watching as he parked his car in Bury's Millgate Centre car park at around 2pm on March 16 prior to a business appointment. 'The thieves cloned the signal from my remote control of the car,' he told optician. 'They were obviously in the car park and must have seen that my boot was full.'
If offered any such frames in suspicious circumstances, contact PC N8811 Yates at Bury Division Police Station 0161 856 8006 or Verber himself on 07702 103114.
