A patent application filed by Korean technology firm Samsung has hinted that it could be working on internet-connected contact lenses able to be controlled by eye movements.
The patent was unearthed last week by a Korean technology blog and was filed in 2014. Although it did not refer to a specific product, it referenced augmented reality headsets like Google Glass and said they offered poor viewing angles and image quality, which could be solved with a small OLED display embedded between soft contact lens layers.
