South Korean technology giant Samsung launched smart visual aid glasses at this week’s CES electronics event in Las Vegas.
The Relúmino glasses work in conjunction with a smartphone and could help people with low vision to see images clearer when undertaking everyday activities, such as reading a book or viewing an object, it announced.
The smartphone processes images from videos projected through the camera of the glasses which are then projected back onto the display of the glasses.
Samsung’s Relúmino app was first showcased at Mobile World Congress last year and the company claims that the technology will be able to help people suffering from tunnel vision and central vision loss.
