Norwich optometrist has set himself the challenge of running five marathons in the US for charity. Suckbir Sangha had already completed the New York and Boston races and recently finished the Chicago Marathon in a time of 4 hours 15 minutes. Sangha plans to complete the Los Angeles Marathon next April and then a last marathon in Miami later in the year. ‘I am training hard and I will be looking to get under four hours for the first time which I certainly feel I am capable of,’ he said. After raising more than £3,000 from competing in the Chicago Marathon, Sangha will donate the funds to the Sloane-Kettering Memorial Trust for cancer research.
