Optometrist graduate Eleanor Swystun has formed part of the latest cohort of pre-reg students entering the UK profession this autumn by re-joining her former employer.
A statement said Swystun originally worked as a Saturday girl at Valli Opticians in Huddersfield when she was 16, before studying at Manchester University. She will now work full-time under the supervision of senior optometrist Adelle Mitchell, across a number of practices within the Valli group’s West Yorkshire network.
Moin Valli, CEO of the group, said: ‘I remember when Eleanor first came to see me, there was a rawness to her and she was definitely nervous, but I could also tell she had a clear focus and desire to make something of herself. We always want the best talent and to attract people who show a real enthusiasm for patient care and service, and want a platform to showcase this.
